D4C 2020 Amended – Details

Over the past months, there has been hope that Drive 4 Corners 2020, the annual social and driving event would be possible with eased gathering limitations due to Coronavirus concerns. However, as of this writing (June 2020), Gunnison County is still restricting gathering sizes to no more than 25 people. Restaurants are limited to 50% capacity and bars are closed. This means that the key social aspect of Drive 4 Corners 2020 is not going to be possible in two months from now.

Because of the concerns and impact of the social aspect of the planned 2020 gathering, the Drive 4 Corners organizing team has decided to amend the formal Drive 4 Corners event. Please bear with us regarding this news as we truly would have loved to host the 10th annual event as we have int he past. However, due to health concerns and the lack of operations, it was not possible at our host hotel. In the mean time, we are working to secure the same rates at the property (Grand Lodge at Crested Butte)

Existing lodging bookings are being held by the host resort, and the group rates will be honored. Unfortunately, the main catered meal and other social aspects of the event will be limited in size. The planning team believes it still a worthwhile effort to organize a multi-day group drive focused on driving mountain roads and exploring new places.

A Drive 4 Corners organized driving tour will still be held, but it will focus on driving the mountain route for those still interested in maintaining their plans to Crested Butte this August. A multi-day driving event is scheduled and will require NO registration fees but we request RSVP to estimate total numbers. The route and schedule will be published in August leading up to the event, but a brief outline is listed below.

For 2020 participants who may have already paid, they will have the option to rollover their payment as a credit to 2021, or simply obtain a refund of 90%. This will be tracked on this page— please review if you are uncertain of your credit or refund status.
