10th Annual Event Still a Hit

The 10th annual Drive 4 Corners event was amended to an informal group drive due to Coronavirus concerns in August 2020. Still, more than 25 cars made it out to Crested Butte and on the mountain tour.

The typical event functions were cancelled due due to Coronavirus concerns and limitations of social gatherings in the region. Instead, an RSVP style mountain drive was organized. The informal nature of the event meant there were fewer organized plans in advance, but daily drives were put in place for those interested in hitting the road with other drivers. The region meant that there were various drives to explore, including Cottonwood Pass, the West Elk Loop Scenic byway, the Silver Thread Scenic byway and Cochetopa Pass. A number of enthusiasts met up at Winslow BMW for the group launch that traveled up Wilkerson Pass to Buena Vista. A stop there before departing towards Crested Butte was welcome. The drive started Thursday, August 27, 2020 and a the last gathering was Sunday August 30, 2020 from Crested Butte, CO.
