It is already August 4th, and this Friday, the 5th annual Drive 4 Corners begins. 2015 will once again be a prime year with 125 registered cars setting the new record for participation. With only two days remaining before the event, the last participant registered. Drive 4 Corners 2015 will take place in Pagosa Springs, Colorado at the Quality Inn hotel. This year will mark the second time the event will take place in down town Pagosa Springs where hotel ownership has been working diligently to have a reconditioned hotel for our group. The hotel interior has been fully refreshed with new paint, carpeting, bedding and flat screen televisions being delivered within the last two weeks.

In addition, the exterior of the hotel has been reworked with new exterior paint, a resurfaced and striped parking lot, plus a recent opening of their internal hotel, the Rez Hill Grill. All of these changes were put in motion to ensure our group has an enjoyable stay. The hotel is fully booked for Friday and Saturday nights, but there may still be a few openings for Sunday night.

The coordinating team is working to coordinate an enjoyable weekend that is relaxed, low-key, and allows a great social atmosphere. We are excited for what is in store and we believe that all enthusiasts will enjoy the event.

We would like to thank our gracious sponsors for their efforts in supporting D4C, as without them, this event would not happen. This includes Santa Fe BMW, the BMW CCA Rocky Mountain Chapter, Santiago-Davis McDonalds, Quality Inn Pagosa Springs, Guten Parts and Service, Odometer Gears, Bigcoupe, and Pagosa Springs TTC.

In addition, all of the volunteers who help throughout the weekend make the event happen. Their efforts may go unnoticed but are absolutely necessary for a smooth weekend.

We are excited to see what vehicles make it out to Pagosa Springs this weekend to win awards like the Over the Hill (Oldest BMW over the pass) and Furthest Traveled. The 1937 prewar vehicle driven by Rick Meining should be great to see climbing to 10,000 feet, along with the custom widebody E30 driven by Garrett Farmer coming all the way from North Carolina! There are too many vehicles to list that we are excited to see, so get your cameras and GoPros ready!

For all attending, drive safe and we will see you this Friday in Pagosa Springs! The cool mountain air is going to be a welcome change from the heat of summer!
